Can you tell us more about your Weight Watchers workouts?
thank you. :)
Punch is getting some great reviews from people at www.videofitness.com who picked up the workout. I am not a WW member but will try to find a center to pick this one up myself.
What is "Punch?"
I'm absolutely loving the Punch workout!!! It is a kickboxing workout that has 3 workouts: beginner (30 mins.), Intermediate (35 mins.) and Advanced (45 mins.). The kit is $25 and contains weighted gloves, a 10 week WW exercise tracker and the DVD with the 3 workouts.
There is another DVD using the stability ball and that also contains 3 workouts but haven't purchased this one yet. I'm hoping that Stephanie will clarify more on it or there will be reviews over at VF so I can see if I want to add this in, as well. This kit is $30 and contains a stability ball and the DVD. It might also contain an exercise tracker, but I'm not positive.
You can purchase these only at WW centers and don't have to belong to WW to just walk in and buy them.........if they have them, that is, because they are selling quickly everywhere.
Here is another review of the intermediate Punch workout from the same forum that Cheri posted: http://forum.videofitness.com/showthread.php?p=1564574#post1564574
One of those reviews is mine! (I'm the original poster in this thread.) I hunted down the workout at a local WW center. I would love to hear Stephanie's input on these. :)
I'd also like to know how to work these into a PowerFit rotation. I know that the Punch workouts would be substituted for any of the cardio.........but, where would you plug in the ball workouts?
BTW.......I just got done doing the Intermediate Punch workout and just loved it. Very fun and the time flew by!!!!
This sounds awesome. Will it be made available to the public? Stephanie, you may end up needing your own store here at the website! :-)
Could I go in a WW center and buy it?
You absolutely can go to a WW center and purchase it~I did and am not a WW member. I too think this is a FABULOUS workout! I've not purchased the kit with the ball either as I wanted to know more about it. I have about three stability balls, lol, and wanted to know if structure of the workout would be something I liked before taking the plunge.
Okay, I heard some good comments on the Workout your Belly, Butt and Thighs and caved, lol. It comes with a stability ball, pump, and a ring that inflates that you can set your ball in to keep it from moving around, kind of a neat thing. And, even though it's labeled Belly, Butt and Thighs, it does work the upper body too. The intermediate and advanced use hand weights. I like this one too. But, I love Punch, just such a fun workout!
Oh~and my center is getting picky about letting you walk in off the street to purchase. But, you can get an online subscription to WW free for a week and take your reference number in and then purchase that way. If you purchase online it will cost an extra $7.50 in shipping.
Aw man! I don't know when I'll be getting to that side if town...
Stephanie - we LOVE your stuff! Please don't make it so hard to find out and buy your new videos! They are so good!
I'm so glad that you're enjoying the WW workouts y'all! They were a ton of fun to shoot though I can honestly say that the Punch shoot day was the toughest EVER for me...those weighted gloves will sneak up on you and after a full day of shooting 3 workouts, by the time I reached that final tune in the advanced one it was TOUGH!! But also a ton of fun!
I also hope you'll notice that even though the stability ball workouts are certainly focused on the belly, butt and thighs - I tried to hit every single muscle group one way or another so you'd actually cover almost your entire body in those workouts with strength training.
WeightWatchers was a great orgainization to work with and I'm proud to have worked on a project for them. If you have any questions at all, you know where to find me as I'm happy to help :-)
Have a great day!
You know, I've been doing some hard lower body workouts lately. And your WW Advanced gives me muscle soreness in a part of my glutes that aren't being touched by anything else! I think they're both such good quality workouts.
I went to my local WW center. I told them I wasn't a WW member and she said it was okay for me to purchase. I bought PUNCH which came with gloves, an exercise tracker (paper tablet) and one DVD w/three workouts. I can't wait to try it!
Stephanie:
I am a Weight Watchers member and I just bought the "Punch" workout at my local center. I really like it, even though I have "two left feet" and it will take me a while to get in the rhythm of it, although I know that will happen after a few times through.
My one concern is the following: As you probably know, the Weight Watchers program works on points, both food points and activity points. There is no listing in the dvd or the accompanying materials on the activity points for your three workouts. Similarly, the Weight Watchers website and eTools do not have the point values, even though ironically, they list points for similar non-Weight Watchers dvds like Billy Blanks. I have contacted Weight Watchers but have not gotten a reply. If you have a way forward on this issue, it would be helpful. Thanks.
